Why Darbari Media and the Lalu-Rahul Brigade Are Suddenly Scared of Bihar’s Voter List Cleanup
Booth Capturing is no longer possible. Now the panic over Voter List Cleaning.
In a recent episode that reveals everything wrong with India’s self-styled “independent journalism,” YouTuber Ajit Anjum barged into a polling booth in Bihar’s Balia district without authorization, disrupted government functionaries, questioned BLOs (Booth Level Officers) about religion-wise voter data, and then — like clockwork — claimed he was being victimised for doing journalism. What he conveniently skips is that his actions are now under investigation for interfering with electoral roll revision, disobeying lawful orders, obstructing government work, and provoking communal tensions.
But Ajit Anjum is just a symptom of a much larger disease — the desperation of the Lalu-Rahul-led opposition, terrified of losing their last vote banks.
Why is Opposition suddenly attacking SIR in Bihar ?
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) being conducted in Bihar is a routine, legally mandated process under the Election Commission of India (ECI) to verify electoral rolls, remove duplicate entries, ineligible voters, and non-citizens who may have been fraudulently registered. It is part of ensuring free and fair elections.
But it’s not just routine — it is existentially dangerous for political parties that have, for decades, thrived on bogus votes, imported voters, and booth-level manipulation.
Flashback : Lalu Yadav’s Jundle Raj & the Era of Looted Booths
Between the 1990s and early 2000s, Bihar was synonymous with electoral violence, booth capturing, and mafia raj. Under Lalu Prasad Yadav’s regime, it wasn’t unusual for entire constituencies to be “captured” — voters locked out, armed goons stuffing ballots, and opposition candidates threatened or beaten.
This isn’t political hyperbole — even the Election Commission under T.N. Seshan had to intervene during Lalu’s regime to deploy CRPF, conduct repolls, and introduce stricter rules in Bihar due to rampant booth looting and fake voting.
Back then, the jungle raj system ensured votes could be manufactured — legitimacy through illegality. But times have changed. VVPATs, voter ID cards, central forces, and now SIR make it impossible to rig elections in broad daylight.
So what’s the next best thing? Cry foul. Manufacture outrage. Send agenda-driven “journalists” to booths. Raise communal bogeys. And attack the Election Commission itself.
Global Hypocrisy : Why shouldn’t India do what the world is already doing ?
From the US to the UK, governments are cracking down on illegal immigrants, deporting non-citizens, and strengthening voter verification. Indians without documents are being sent back from Canada, the UK, and the US daily.
Yet the same political class and their ecosystem in India want illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants to stay, vote, and swing elections.
Why? Because these are the new vote banks in urban slums and border districts. SIR threatens to demolish this ecosystem.
The opposition knows that every cleaned voter roll takes away 5000-10,000 fake or illegal votes per seat — often enough to swing margins. Their panic is justified. Their politics is on ventilator support — and SIR might just pull the plug.
When the win Jharkhand, democracy is alive. When they lose, it’s murder.
Let’s not forget — this is the same Congress-RJD-Left alliance that celebrated when they won Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, or Karnataka. Not once did they question the Election Commission then.
But every time they face defeat — whether in UP, Bihar, or the general elections — suddenly EVMs are rigged, voter rolls are manipulated, the EC is biased, the judiciary is compromised, the media is sold out, and now… enumeration forms are communal?
How convenient.
Ajit Anjum : Journalism or Provocation ?
Anjum’s YouTube channel thrives on sensationalism and selective outrage. In this case, he entered a polling center without authorization, filmed partially filled government forms, and then insinuated that Muslim voters were being “targeted” — without evidence.
He was booked not for journalism, but for:
Yet, his entire ecosystem is crying “freedom of press” — as if freedom gives the right to interfere in electoral administration and twist facts on camera.
A Clean Voter Roll = Stronger Democracy
The SIR process is not just legitimate — it’s essential.
India must:
A clean electoral roll doesn’t hurt democracy — it saves it.
And those who cry foul? Their votes-for-rent model is in danger. That’s the only “injustice” they see.
Final Word
India has changed. Elections are cleaner. The system is stronger. And the desperation of the old guard — the booth capturers, the border-vote importers, the fake narrative weavers — is on full display.
Ajit Anjum can cry victim all he wants. But the real story is this:
The era of Lalu’s booths and Congress’s lies is ending. And it’s ending with every clean name struck off the rolls.
